COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Nurturing connections between communities and nature.

Monthly Community Forest Bathing Walks

In our fast-paced and often disconnected world, our Community Forest Bathing Walks provide a tranquil retreat into nature, promoting well-being and mindfulness in a simple and accessible way. Based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, or "Forest Bathing," these guided walks encourage participants to slow down, breathe deeply, and fully engage with the soothing environment of the forest.

Reconnect with nature and your community during our monthly themed Forest Bathing Walks at Craigmillar Castle Country Park. Each walk is thoughtfully designed to help you awaken your senses, appreciate the beauty of wildflowers, trees, and plants, and embrace the changing seasons in a peaceful and supportive setting.

What to Expect

Our sessions provide a peaceful, immersive experience in the woods, designed to deepen your connection with nature through mindful activities that engage your senses. Whether you come with a specific intention or simply let the experience unfold, these walks offer a unique opportunity to reflect on your relationship with the natural world. After the walk, we gather for a warm drink, light snack, and meaningful conversation, fostering a sense of community and shared reflection. Forest Bathing is a scientifically proven practice that reduces stress, improves mood, and enhances overall well-being by reconnecting individuals with the natural environment in a mindful way.

Our mission is to offer free, inclusive, and accessible forest bathing sessions that enhance community well-being, alleviate stress, and deepen the connection with nature. Made possible by generous funding, these sessions are available to those in need, with booking required to ensure everyone has a spot.

Booking for this session will become available once the next round of funding is secured. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Please stay tuned for updates on when bookings will open.

Your support and interest are invaluable to us, and we can't wait to share this opportunity with you.

Community Impact

Our Forest Bathing walks are specifically designed to serve underserved communities, providing free, accessible experiences that promote a sense of belonging, resilience, and community. Through partnerships with local charities, we ensure that those who need it most can benefit. Participants become part of a growing community focused on well-being, connecting with nature, and supporting local initiatives, while also improving their physical and mental health.

How You Can Get Involved as a Charity

We encourage you to be a part of this essential mission. By collaborating with us, your support will help us extend our reach and provide more frequent community nature walks, giving even more people the chance to experience the healing benefits of nature. Your contribution will play a crucial role in

Expanding our Forest Bathing Community Walks to additional locations, ensuring they are accessible to a wider audience.
